FAQ

How to Book an Appointment

Booking an appointment at One Stop Physiotherapy is straightforward. You can book online and choose an available time that suits you.

When booking, you can choose between an assessment-only appointment or an assessment and treatment appointment. If you would like to start treatment during your first visit, select the assessment and treatment option when booking.

If you're unsure which appointment is most suitable for you, contact us before booking and we'll be happy to help.

What Happens at Your First Appointment?

Your first appointment begins with a detailed discussion about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and how your problem is affecting your everyday activities.

Your physiotherapist will then carry out a physical assessment. This may include looking at your movement, strength, flexibility and the areas causing you pain or discomfort.

Once your assessment is complete, we'll explain our findings in clear, straightforward language and discuss the most appropriate treatment options with you. Where appropriate, we'll also provide exercises and advice to help you manage your symptoms and support your recovery.

If you've booked an assessment and treatment appointment, treatment can begin during the same visit where appropriate.

Can I Get Treatment During My First Visit?

Yes. If you choose an assessment and treatment appointment, treatment can often begin during the same visit.

Following your assessment, your physiotherapist will explain their findings and discuss the most appropriate treatment options for your condition. Where suitable, treatment may begin immediately to help reduce pain, improve movement and start your recovery as soon as possible.

How Long Does an Appointment Take?

Our standard assessment and treatment appointment is 1 hour. This gives your physiotherapist time to understand your problem, carry out a thorough assessment and, where appropriate, begin treatment during the same session.

Follow-up appointments are typically around 45 minutes, although this may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan.

How Soon Can I Be Seen?

We aim to offer appointments as quickly as possible, with many patients able to secure an appointment within a few days.

Our online booking system displays current availability, allowing you to choose the most convenient appointment time for you.

What Should I Bring to My First Visit?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows your physiotherapist to assess the affected area and your movement.

If you have any relevant medical information, scan reports, X-rays or details of previous treatment, these can be useful but are not essential.

Most importantly, be prepared to discuss your symptoms, when they started and how they are affecting your daily life.

What Happens After My Assessment?

Once your assessment is complete, your physiotherapist will explain what they've found and discuss the most appropriate next steps.

Your treatment plan will be tailored to your symptoms, goals and individual needs. This may include exercises, advice, hands-on treatment and, where appropriate, additional therapies such as acupuncture or shockwave therapy.

Our goal is to give you a clear understanding of your problem and a practical plan to help you recover, move better and return to your normal activities as quickly as possible.

I received excellent care from One Stop Physio. They got me moving again and I am so grateful.
